Our first module is based on Jacque Offenbach’s 19th century French opera “Voyage to the Moon”. Prince Caprice, bored of palace life and not wanting to be king despite his father’s urgings, promises his father he will settle down if he gets to go on one last quest. His father agrees and Prince Caprice gets the palace guards to catapult him to the moon where after many adventures...he finds his princess. The narrated story is set to the music and children are taught about musical symbols and instruments throughout. Within the interactive play section, kids discover more about the musical composition, using skills that build up their comprehension, coordination, reading, writing and memory. Parents will want to try this out too!
